I'm Josalyn P. Ford, and I show up fully, unapologetically and on purpose.

I'm a Black woman leader who has built a career at the intersection of strategy, community and impact. I believe the most powerful work happens when organizations stop playing it safe and start being intentional about who they are, who they serve and how they show up in the world.

But let me tell you how this really started.

Be Social. Do Good. didn't start with a business plan. It started with a room full of people.

Years ago, while planning an annual luncheon, I watched something remarkable happen. People didn't just walk into that room; they transformed inside of it. What began as an event became a space where joy opened the door to genuine connection, where generosity became belonging, and where everyone felt they were exactly where they were supposed to be.

That didn't happen by accident. I made sure the messaging, the marketing and the programming all said the same thing: you matter here.

That moment crystallized everything. The most powerful thing an organization can do is stop treating community as an audience and start honoring them as partners. Be Social. Do Good. was born from that belief.

My passion is to help elevate and amplify a mission in real time. That work doesn't begin when the doors open or when a community gathering welcomes its first guests. It begins when I sit with someone and listen to their heart's passion for envisioning something better for their community. Then, together, their audacity to dream meets my passion to guide, and they bring to life what started as a vision and a plan.

My path has been shaped by village, values and vision. Nearly two decades of leading in community, from mission-driven campaigns to signature gatherings that move people to action, have taught me what it takes for organizations to close the gap between what they say they stand for and what they actually do. That work doesn't happen in boardrooms alone. It happens in community, with honesty and deep respect for the people touched by every decision we make.

This work is for companies and organizations ready to show up for community with community in mind. They're willing to do the harder, more beautiful work of remembering it was never about them. It was always about the people they're called to serve.

I'm selective about who I walk alongside, and I say that with love. I partner with nonprofits, businesses and leaders who are willing to stretch and who honor community with engagement, dignity, legacy and integrity. If that's you, we're going to do remarkable things together!

My vision is simple but radical: when organizations bring their full selves (their values, their mission, their humanity) into community, the good they do doesn't just make an impact. It lasts. It becomes legacy.

I hold a BA in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University. I'm certified in establishing socially transformative platforms, a 2025 Fellow of the Black Leadership Institute through the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

This work is personal. It always has been. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
